The Conventions 88 and 181 of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) form the international framework for the provision of public and private employment services. The World Employment Confederation (WEC) and the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES) are strong proponents of adequate regulation of employment services. To achieve their common goal of ensuring that more countries are adopting these vital standards, the two organisations hold a webinar on Thursday 28 November to unpack how the ratification of these conventions can benefit countries, public institutions, businesses and workers.
Learn about effective strategies for engaging with national governments and advancing the ratification process. Don’t miss this chance to deepen your understanding and engage more fully in this crucial initiative. Ratifying these conventions will lead to more effective and inclusive labour markets.
In addition to speakers from the ILO, WEC and WAPES, you will hear from concrete case studies in Australia, the Netherlands and Portugal. You will find more details about our speakers on the registration page.
The event will be held in English, but interpretation will be available in Spanish and French.
Registration is mandatory to obtain the Zoom link to attend the webinar. Please sign up here.
