The World Employment Confederation is closely monitoring the evolution of the situation regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The primary concern for our sector and for the World Employment Confederation members is to protect the health and safety of all workers.
In conjunction with the World Employment Confederation’s head office, our members are in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders to act responsibly and ensure the health and safety of the workforce including the opportunity to work remotely where possible. As an industry body, we support an inclusive approach based on fair treatment of all workers, regardless of their employment contract.
In addition to the information available via the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the John Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center, please refer to the websites of our national federations for localised information regarding impacts and recommended actions in specific countries or regions.
