WEC Elects New Vice-President and Board Members, Welcomes Two New Members

WEC’s General Assembly of April 7th, 2025 marks a further milestone in the organisation’s ongoing evolution. During the meeting, WEC members endorsed the of two new members, THRAPA and QUESS, and elected new Board members. Bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas, those decisions reaffirm WEC on its path to becoming more relevant as the global voice of the HR services industry.

On 7 April, the General Assembly of WEC members took some important decisions regarding its membership and governance. Both elements contribute to achieving WEC’s strategic goals of becoming more relevant as the leading HR Services industry authority.

Two new members join the WEC community: THRAPA (Tanzania Human Resource and Administration Professionals Association) as a National Federation Member representing Tanzania and QUESS, as a Regional Corporate Member from APAC Southern. Their membership is effective as of April 1st, 2025.

WEC members also elected a couple of new Board members, bringing some new faces and fresh energy to the organisation’s governance.

  • Caroline Pfeiffer (ManpowerGroup) becomes Vice-President of the World Employment Confederation. She takes over from Bart van Kempen who resigned from his WEC mandate when he left ManpowerGroup in January 2025. Caroline is Global Senior Vice-President at Talent Solutions, the branch of ManpowerGroup specialised in Career Development, Mobility and Outplacement, and she had been representing ManpowerGroup on WEC’s Board since 2023.
  • Sophie Touhadian-Giely (ManpowerGroup) has been elected as the representative of ManpowerGroup. Sophie is Legal & ESG Leader for Europe. She joined ManpowerGroup in 2019 and takes over the position from Caroline Pfeiffer.
  • Rossella Fasola (Randstad) is the new representative of Randstad Holding. Rossella is the Public Affairs Director at Randstad Italy. She has been with the company since 2009 and has been extensively involved in the governance of the Italian national federation. She steps in following the retirement of Jan Denys, one of the longest-standing WEC members who left the industry after 25 years of service.
  • Marius Osterfeld (swissstaffing / Switzerland) has been re-elected as a Board member in his capacity of Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee. Marius has been on WEC’s Board since 2020 and in charge of the Committee behind WEC’s leading labour market intelligence publications since 2022.
  • Even Hagelien (NHO Service og Hande / Norway) has been re-elected as a regular Board member. Even has served on WEC’s Board since 2019 and was previously Chair of the Economic Affairs Committee.
