The World Employment Confederation (WEC) is excited to announce LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, as its first Affiliate Partner.
Through this new partnership, the World Employment Confederation and LinkedIn will share insights and expertise to deepen understanding of the employment services industry. LinkedIn will also participate in the WEC’s technology taskforce – a working group gathered to explore how the private employment services industry can harness the potential of technology.
With more than 830 million members across the globe, LinkedIn has seen firsthand how the world of work is changing as people and businesses adapt to economic changes like public health crises, technological disruption, and climate change.
LinkedIn will bring to the WEC community its insights and perspectives around the role that the private employment services sector can play in creating opportunities for both professionals and businesses. In addition to participating as a member of the WEC community, the partnership will result in collaboration across our communications and major events enhancing WEC’s position as the voice of the private employment services industry at a global level.
Bettina Schaller, President of the World Employment Confederation, said: “LinkedIn’s mission and values aligns with the World Employment Confederation’s purpose that is to broaden recognition of the positive economic and social role that the HR services industry plays in enabling work, adaptation, security and prosperity. Both organisations have been cooperating on an ad-hoc basis over the years and I am delighted to see the Affiliate Partnership now formalising this long-standing relationship to deliver even more added-value to WEC members”.
Adam Hawkins, Head of Search and Staffing, EMEA & LATAM, LinkedIn, said: “The pandemic instigated the biggest workplace shift in generations and we’re likely to see the ripple effects for years to come. The recruitment industry plays a pivotal role in shaping what the future of work will look like. By partnering with the World Employment Confederation, and sharing insights on the current employment landscape, our hope is that we can support recruiters in navigating the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
