2020 will remain a memorable year. The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted lives around the world. For the private employment services industry too, the shock has been massive. Yet, the World Employment Confederation and its members are coming out of this crisis stronger and ready for the new normal. Find out what we have been able to achieve in this special context!

The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world in 2020 has signficantly impacted the way in which the World Employment Confederation and its members interact. Nevetherless, WEC has seized all opportunities to maintain a close link with members and enable them to get together, share their concerns and collaborate on finding solutions.

Some of our key milestones in 2020:

  • Supporting members during the Covid-19 crisis
  • Advocating on the contribution of the private employment services sector in crisis and beyond
  • Setting up an industry alliance to prepare recovery
  • Electing a new leadership team
  • Positioning the industry on topics such as platform work, AI, blockchain, social protection, career management
