The Covid-19 has even further stressed the need for all workers to be adequately protected throughout crisis, irrespective of the way they engage with work. The temporary agency work sector has long understood the need to combine flexibility and security and has used social dialogue to come up with innovative practices to improve training, working conditions and social protection of agency workers.
As part of their 2019-2020 work programme, the EU Sectoral Social Partners for the temporary agency work industry, the World Employment Confederation-Europe and UNI-Europa, have commissioned the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and the Catholic University of Leuven / HIVA to produce a compendium of best practices, assess their success factors and evaluate their scalability and replicability.
Findings from the research project will be presented by the research team during an online conference, where the World Employment Confederation-Europe and UNI-Europa will also present their joint recommendations to spur social innovation even further in the temporary agency work sector.
