In the context of the draft Motion for a Resolution currently discussed in the European Parliament’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee, eight European employers federations issued a joint statement expressing some concerns about recent proposals related to the organisation of Sectoral Social Dialogue.
The organisations involved are CEEMET (Tech & Industry Employers), GEOPA (agricultural organisations), EBF (banking), ECEG (chemicals), EFCI (cleaning and facility services), FIEC (construction), HOTREC (hospitality) and WEC-Europe (HR services).
The employers federations also stress again the need to fully ensure the autonomy of social partners when they are carrying out their work, from conducting sectoral social dialogue to negotiating agreements and/or joint statements.
The signatories of the joint statement are organisations strongly involved and committed to a constructive sectoral social dialogue at the European and national level.
